You can now use Amazon EMR Notebooks in Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet, and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD.
Amazon EMR Notebooks is a fully-managed serverless notebook that allows data scientists, analysts, and developers to prepare and visualize data, collaborate with peers, build applications, and perform interactive analysis using EMR clusters. EMR Notebooks gives you a choice to use either Jupyter notebooks or next-generation JupyterLab notebooks.
Notebooks can be started directly from the EMR console without any infrastructure to manage. You can attach the notebook to an existing cluster or provision a new cluster directly from the console. You can attach multiple notebooks to a single cluster, detach notebooks and re-attach them to new clusters. You can submit and monitor the progress of a Spark job directly from the notebook. EMR Notebooks also supports using Git-repositories for version control, and allows you to install notebook-scoped library dependencies at runtime, avoiding the need to install libraries directly on EMR clusters. To learn more, please visit the EMR Notebooks page.
There is no additional cost for using EMR Notebooks. You only pay for the EMR cluster attached to the notebook. You can find out more about the pricing for your cluster by visiting Amazon EMR pricing.
