Amazon Transcribe is an automatic speech recognition (ASR) service that you can use to add speech-to-text capabilities to your applications. Starting today, customers can use Amazon PrivateLink to access the Amazon Transcribe batch API from their Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC) without using public IPs or requiring the traffic to traverse the Internet. Amazon PrivateLink provides private connectivity between VPCs and Amazon Web Services services, without ever leaving the Amazon network.
Using Amazon PrivateLink, you can access the Amazon Transcribe batch API easily and securely by keeping your network traffic within the Amazon Web Services network, while significantly simplifying your internal network architecture. You no longer need to use an Internet Gateway, Network Address Translation (NAT) devices, or firewall proxies to connect to Amazon Transcribe.
You can use batch transcription to produce transcripts at scale efficiently and accurately for diverse use cases, such as transcribing customer service calls, automatically generating captions for media content, and capturing conference calls or meetings.
Amazon PrivateLink support for the Amazon Transcribe batch API is available in the Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD. To learn more, visit the Amazon Transcribe documentation page.
