Starting today, the Amazon Cost Management suite of product is available in Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD, and in Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet. The service endpoints for Amazon Cost Management are located in Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) region, operated by NWCD. Customers can now view, manage, plan, and optimize their costs using set of services and features such as Cost Explorer, Amazon Budgets, and Cost and Usage Report (CUR). By using these cloud cost management resources, you can visualize your historic spend, forecast future expenses, and optimize your savings.
To get started using these products, go to the Amazon Billing Console and enable Cost Explorer. From there you can access Cost Explorer to visualize your spend, create reports using filtering and grouping capabilities, and forecast future expenses. To monitor your cost and usage information, you can use Amazon Budgets by creating a budget for your costs, usage, or reservation. We will notify you if your budgets exceed or are forecasted to exceed a user defined threshold. To optimize your spend, you can use Cost Explorer’s optimizations features such as Reserved Instances (RI) and EC2 rightsizing recommendations. These recommendation reports will surface opportunities for you to save on costs by evaluating your historic workload and presenting you with cost savings metrics. To get hourly and resource level cost and usage information, the CUR provides granular data so that you can access more granular cost and usage data. These set of products will enable customers in China better manage their costs and drive cost savings initiatives.
