You can now run your applications on Amazon Elastic Beanstalk using the new generation of Docker, Corretto and Python Elastic Beanstalk platforms built on top of Operating System, Amazon Linux 2.
The new generation of Docker on Amazon Linux 2 platforms offer improved I/O performance by utilizing the OverlayFS storage driver. The new generation of Corretto on Amazon Linux 2 platforms come with Amazon Corretto, which is a production-ready distribution of the Open Java Development Kit (OpenJDK). The new generation of Python on Amazon Linux 2 platforms come with numerous improvements including NGINX as a reverse proxy server.
To get started, create new Amazon Elastic Beanstalk environments using the Elastic Beanstalk console or through the EB CLI and Elastic Beanstalk API. See Release Notes for additional details.
