Starting today, Amazon Systems Manager Explorer provides a summary of Amazon Web Services Compute Optimizer recommendations to help you improve cost and performance for your workloads in the Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, Operated by Sinnet, and in the Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, Operated by NWCD. Systems Manager Explorer is an operations dashboard that provides a view of your operations data such as patch compliance and instance details helping you see where you may need to investigate and remediate operational issues. Compute Optimizer delivers Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instance recommendations so that you can quickly identify the most impactful optimization opportunities. You can now see all your operations data and Compute Optimizer recommendations in one aggregated view from Systems Manager Explorer.

With this new feature, you can use Systems Manager Explorer to view Compute Optimizer recommendations. Additionally, you can choose recommendations in the Compute Optimizer summary to see a list of EC2 instance details such as current instance type, recommended instance type and price difference between both. You can then filter this data, export the results to a comma-separated values (.csv) file, and publish an Amazon Simple Notification Service (Amazon SNS) notification. You can also resize the instance using the Systems Manager Automation to change to the recommended EC2 instance type.

This new feature is available in US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (N. California), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Canada (Central), China (Beijing) operated by Sinnet, China (Ningxia) operated by NWCD, Europe (Frankfurt), Europe (Ireland), Europe (London), Europe (Paris), Europe (Stockholm), and South America (São Paulo) Amazon Web Services Regions.
