Amazon Direct Connect provides private, high-bandwidth connectivity between Amazon Web Services and your data center, office, or colocation facility. Native 100 Gbps connections provide higher bandwidth, without the operational overhead of managing multiple 10 Gbps connections in a Link Aggregation Group (LAG). The increased capacity delivered by 100 Gbps connections is particularly beneficial to applications that transfer large-scale datasets, such as for broadcast media distribution, advanced driver assistance systems used for autonomous vehicles, and financial services trading and market information systems.
For production workloads, Amazon Web Services strongly recommends using connections in more than one Amazon Direct Connect location to ensure resilience against device or colocation failure. To get started, follow the resiliency best practices outlined in the Direct Connect Getting Started page to determine the best resiliency model to fit your use case.
Starting today, 100 Gbps Dedicated Connections are available at these locations. This list will be updated as 100 Gbps Dedicated Connections are made available at additional locations. See the Amazon Direct Connect pricing page for information about pricing for 100 Gbps Dedicated Connections.
The Direct Connect User Guide provides setup instructions for 1, 10, and 100 Gbps Dedicated Connections. Orders can be placed using either the Direct Connect Console or supported APIs.
