Amazon Compute Optimizer now delivers recommendations to help customers identify optimal Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) task CPU and memory configurations for Amazon ECS services running on Amazon Fargate.
Over-provisioning Amazon ECS task CPU and memory incurs unnecessary cost while under-provisioning them can lead to poor application performance. Compute Optimizer delivers actionable recommendations so you can optimize task CPU and memory for your Amazon ECS services running on Fargate. Compute Optimizer also quantifies cost impact of adopting these recommendations, so that you can prioritize your optimization efforts based on the size of the saving opportunity. Compute Optimizer recommendations provide container-level CPU and memory configurations as necessary when downsizing tasks to ensure compatibility between task and associated container configurations.
Compute Optimizer support for Amazon ECS services running on Fargate is now available in Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet, and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD.
