Amazon SWF now supports Amazon PrivateLink allowing you to run workflows from your Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) without traversing the public internet.
Amazon SWF is a workflow service that makes it easier for you to build distributed applications. You have full control over the implementation and coordination of tasks and Amazon SWF manages the underlying complexities such as tracking their progress and maintaining their state. You can run your application on-premise, or on Amazon EC2, a web service that provides resizable compute capacity in the cloud.
Amazon PrivateLink provides private connectivity between VPCs, Amazon Web Services services, and your on-premises networks, without exposing your traffic to the public internet. Now, with Amazon PrivateLink support you can call Amazon SWF and traffic remains within the Amazon Web Services China network so you can simplify your network architecture by removing the need to deploy an internet gateway, configure firewall rules, or set up proxy servers in your VPC.
Amazon SWF support for Amazon PrivateLink is now available in Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD. To learn more, visit the Amazon SWF Developer Guide.
