Trusted Language Extensions for PostgreSQL is a new open source development kit to help you build high performance extensions that run safely on PostgreSQL. With Trusted Language Extensions, developers can install extensions written in a trusted language on Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL-Compatible Edition and Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) for PostgreSQL.
Trusted Language Extensions for PostgreSQL allows developers to more productively create high performance database extensions using popular trusted languages, like JavaScript, Perl, and PL/pgSQL. Trusted Language Extensions provides database administrators control over who can install extensions and a permissions model for running them, letting application developers deliver new functionality as soon as an extension meets their needs.

You can get started by launching a new Amazon RDS DB instance directly from the Amazon Web Services Console. Trusted Language Extensions for PostgreSQL is available in Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD. Trusted Language Extensions is available at no additional charge.
