Amazon CloudWatch announces a new quick setup experience for Amazon Web Services Partner destinations in the CloudWatch Metric Streams console. With Metric Streams, you can create a continuous, near real-time stream of metrics to a destination of your choice. With this new simplified getting-started experience you can create a Metric Stream to an Amazon Web Services Partner destination in a single step.
You can use Metric Streams to send metrics to Amazon Web Services Partner solutions including Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic, Splunk, Sumo Logic, or to your data lake on Amazon Web Services services, such as Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3). This new quick setup for Amazon Web Services Partner destinations provides a simplified console experience for creating Streams, where you just provide up to two configuration fields from your Amazon Web Services Partner and Metric Streams will create all necessary resources for you, without leaving the Metric Streams console.
To make use of this new experience, navigate to the Metric Streams console located in the left panel of the CloudWatch console under the Metrics menu, and click on “Create Metric Stream”. You will then see a new option titled “Quick Amazon Web Services Partner setup”.
The new Quick Amazon Web Services Partner setup experience of Metric Streams is now available in the Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet, and the Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD.
