Amazon Glue now provides example jobs for visual ETL and notebooks, a data-preview-focused layout, and a simpler UI with fewer clicks. Additionally, Glue Studio now natively supports the Snowflake, Redshift and OpenSearch connectors. Glue Studio offers a visual interface to author, run, and monitor Glue ETL jobs. These improvements make it faster to work with and easier to learn.
When authoring visual ETL, users can now choose Snowflake as a source or target directly. Alternatively, select source data by pasting your SQL query from Snowflake directly into Glue Studio. These capabilities enable a ETL developer to work with Snowflake and Glue across a variety of data situations within a single interface.
The simplified UI now allows customers to start authoring a Visual ETL job with just one click. It also introduces guided permissions setup in the Console and pre-built jobs to give you examples of what you can do with Amazon Glue and how. Next, users can drag-and-drop connections between nodes to quickly set the order of operations. And finally, the preview-focused layout allows you to check the results of transformations immediately after you set them up.
These new features are now available in the regions as Amazon Glue
