Amazon VPC IP Address Manager (IPAM) makes it easier for you to plan, track, and monitor IP addresses for your Amazon Web Services workloads. With IPAM's automated workflows, network administrators can more efficiently manage IP addresses.

IPAM allows you to easily organize IP addresses based on your routing and security needs and set simple business rules to govern IP assignments. Using IPAM, you can automate IP address assignment to VPCs, eliminating the need to use spreadsheet-based or homegrown IP planning applications, which can be hard to maintain and time-consuming. IPAM also automatically tracks critical IP address information, including its Amazon Web Services account, and Amazon VPC, eliminating the need to do manual bookkeeping. IPAM retains the IP address monitoring data (up to a maximum of three years) which you can use to do retrospective analysis and audits for your network security and routing policies. With this launch, Public IP Insights, an IPAM feature, now provides visibility across multiple accounts and Regions helping you use Public IPs efficiently. Previously Public IP Insights provided visibility only in a single Amazon Web Services account and Region.

Amazon VPC IPAM is now available in Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet, and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD.

To learn more about what is included in each IPAM tier and the pricing, refer to the IPAM section on the VPC pricing page. To get started with IPAM, view the What is IPAM page in our documentation.
